6" x 8"
A simple composition of a yellow #2 pencil. I used the crossword puzzle as a background feature and like the simple lines and color it creates. Crossword puzzles have never been my thing. I always go through them and write in the words I know easily and then that is the end of it for me. This is painting 211 in my Painting A Day Series. If anyone is interested in purchasing this piece send me an email by 7pm CST Thursday evening. As always the first email gets the painting. If it is still available tomorrow (Thursday) evening at 7pm I will post it on eBay. The pre-auction price of this painting is $120. UPDATE: Painting sold at 11:57pm Wednesday night. I didn't post this piece until after 11pm so it wasn't on my blog very long before it was purchased.

I love it! Simple concept, great painting. I love the warm look on the paper. If were to attempt to paint that picture I would tend to want to make the paper "cool." Of course, the way you painted looks terrific!
I'm working on an oil painting (I'm an novice) of picture of my grandfather from WWII. It's my first attempt at glazing. I'm posting my progress on my blog. Any helpful hints would be appreciated.
