Pine Cone #2 - Daily Painting A Day by Darren Maurer

I painted a pine cone last year shortly after beginning my Painting A Day blog, (See painting #38)and it found a buyer a few weeks later. This painting is similar to #38 but not a complete copy of it. A couple that has been a huge supporter of my work contacted me recently and wanted to know if I could paint another pine cone for them. I am happy to take commissions and enjoyed painting this piece. I did find that this pine cone was no less complicated than the last one though. This is painting 143 in my Painting A Day Series.
