Orange Slices by Darren Maurer

I happened to catch these slices of an orange exactly like this on a cutting board my wife was using. I asked her not to move them because they were perfect for a painting. Sometimes when things are set up for a still life in a studio setting they lose their spontaneous feel. I liked this because this is how they fell when the slicing was finished.
