Midwestern Highway by Darren Maurer

Here is a typical sight when driving the many two lane highways across the Midwestern United States. I really liked how this old grain elevator was catching the light from the setting sun. The light cast a warm glow on the steel and the landscape around it. This is painting 71 in my Painting A Day Series. Painting Sold.

DARN!!!....the Sious City Journal had the web address wrong in their article today...I just found this and it looks JUST like the grain elevator outside out front door...I would have LOVED this painting...but alas...I am too late :( Bidding ended a couple of hours ago...
Whoever won it on eBay...enjoy!
